LUBBOCK, TX — Texas Tech Baseball continues to be recognized among the nation's elite, coming in at No. 17 in the latest D1Baseball Top-100 programs ranking released last Thursday, October 9. The Red Raiders have solidified their place in the top 20 for the fourth consecutive time, continuing a rise that began with a No. 38 ranking in the inaugural 2015 list.
Texas Tech finds itself positioned between Big 12 rivals TCU (No. 16) and Oklahoma State (No. 19). The ranking reflects the program's sustained success, highlighted by four College World Series appearances since 2014 and five Super Regional berths in that span.
D1Baseball updates its top-100 programs every two years, aiming to evaluate the overall health and performance of college baseball programs in the current era. The list was first introduced in 2015, with subsequent updates in 2017, 2019, 2022, and now 2024.
The Red Raiders finished with a 33-26 overall record in 2024 in a year where Texas Tech battled injuries throughout the season. Head Coach Tim Tadlock will have the Red Raiders ready to go again in 2025 with College World Series aspirations on the books.
