LUBBOCK, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation and the Ports-to-Plains Alliance will hold a signing ceremony on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. to celebrate the addition of 4.2 miles to the existing I-27.
The ceremony will take place at the northeast corner of FM 1585, marking the new section of I-27 south of Lubbock. Details regarding a reception following the ceremony will be confirmed by the end of the week.
According to a press release, notable attendees are expected, including members of Congress, senior staff from TxDOT, and a Transportation Commissioner. Organizers encourage community leaders and elected officials to attend, emphasizing the importance of support for the development.
