LUBBOCK, TX — A few eyebrows were raised after Lubbock was listed in Airbnb’s 2024 Winter Trends Report, which showcases popular search and booking trends for the upcoming winter season.
The report shows that Lubbock is a “trending domestic destination” for travelers checking in between November 1 and December 31.
According to the Airbnb report, Lubbock was specifically noted for its increasing popularity among U.S. guests looking to book winter getaways.
Another Texas city, Fredericksburg, also made the list, recognized as a trending family-friendly domestic destination.
The report lists other trending winter domestic destinations based on guest searches in the third quarter, including:
- Indianapolis, Indiana
- South Bend, Indiana
- Blacksburg, Virginia
- Oxford, Mississippi
- Auburn, Alabama
- Iowa City, Iowa
- Indio, California
- State College, Pennsylvania
- Tacoma, Washington
