Lubbock Deputies Arrest Driver After a 25 Minute Pursuit

 

LUBBOCK, TX – A routine traffic stop by a Corporal with the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office led to a pursuit on October 18 led to a persuit when the driver of a white Chevrolet Malibu refused to pull over.

According to a press release, the chase began around 2:46 p.m. and lasted approximately 25 minutes, ending in Lynn County at the intersection of FM 211 and CR X.

The driver, Michael Short, was transported to the Lubbock County Detention Center. He faces several charges, including evading arrest or detention in a vehicle, reckless driving, and outstanding Class C warrants.

Authorities are continuing the investigation into the incident, and further details will be provided as they become available.
