Horse Shot with Shotgun in Lubbock County

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident involving a horse that was reportedly shot with a shotgun in the 10400 block of County Road 5100. 

Deputies were dispatched just after 7:00 a.m. on October 30 to respond to the call.

When they arrived, deputies completed a report, and Animal Control officials followed up on October 31. According to LCSO, the horse sustained injuries, but they do not appear to be life-threatening.

The investigation is ongoing, and the sheriff’s office is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 806-775-1479, referencing case number 2024-31834.
