Swing to Big Band Music at the Silent Wings Museum

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The Silent Wings Museum is hosting a Veterans Day Big Band Performance on Friday, November 8, 2024, to celebrate the Big Band Era. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for a night of live music, dancing, and fun.

According to a press release, the event will start with dance lessons from Social Dance LBK so attendees can learn some swing steps before the live performance. From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., "Finessence" will play classic Big Band music, including patriotic songs that were popular during World War II.

A cash bar and light refreshments will be available throughout the event.

The event is free and open to the public.

The Silent Wings Museum is located at 6202 N. I-27 (Exit 9) in Lubbock’s former airport terminal.
