Brownfield Man Kills 62 Year Old After Chest Injuries

 

BROWNFIELD, TX — A Brownfield man, Anthony Rosales, 38, was arrested for murder after a 62-year-old man died from severe injuries in Brownfield on Monday evening.

According to a press release from the Brownfield Police Department, on Monday at approximately 6:26 p.m., police officers responded to a disturbance at 709 North Atkins. 

When authorities arrived, they found Danny Guerra, 62, with significant injuries to his chest. Officers, along with emergency medical personnel from Brownfield Regional Medical Center EMS, attempted to resuscitate Guerra, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, said the release.

Detectives from the Brownfield Police Department, investigators from the Texas Rangers, Terry County Attorney’s Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety assisted in processing the crime scene.

Rosales was arrested and held in the Terry County Jail without bond. As of Tuesday, he remains in custody as the investigation continues.
