Midland Man Dead After Police Standoff

 

MIDLAND, TX — A standoff in Midland ended with the death of a man who had barricaded himself inside a home on Monday, November 11, according to city officials. The Texas Rangers are now investigating the incident, though further details have not yet been made available.

The man who barricaded himself in a home is now dead after shots were fired.

According to Midland's CBS7, Midland Police Department’s Deputy Chief Brian Rackow reported that the situation began when a man shot his wife and then locked himself inside a residence on the 5500 block of Newcastle Lane in Midland, Texas.

Authorities transported the woman to a hospital; her current condition remains unknown.

The incident remains under investigation, and updates will be provided as more information is released.
