Lubbock Officer Shoots Woman Following Domestic Dispute

 

LUBBOCK, TX — A domestic altercation escalated into an officer-involved shooting on Saturday evening, November 23, near the 3500 block of 66th Drive.

According to the Lubbock Police Department, officers responded to a call at around 7:46 p.m., reporting a domestic disturbance involving a male and female at the location. When law enforcement arrived, they located the two individuals, and shortly after, an officer discharged their weapon.

The female involved in the incident was transported to University Medical Center with serious injuries. She is currently in stable condition.

The incident is under investigation, and the Lubbock Police Department has not yet released further details regarding the circumstances that led to the shooting.
