LUBBOCK, TX — Texas Tech's final home game against West Virginia will kick off at 11 a.m. on Saturday, the Big 12 recently announced. Those hoping for a later game will be disappointed as the Red Raiders wrap up the 2024 regular season at home in the early time slot.
The Red Raiders are coming off a huge 56-48 road win, in which Texas Tech came out on top against Oklahoma State after the two teams traded scores throughout the contest. Tahj Brooks led the way for Texas Tech with four total touchdowns, three rushing and one receiving, to elevate Texas Tech over the Cowboys.
With the shoot-out victory over Oklahoma State last weekend, Texas Tech has a chance to achieve its best regular season win total (8) since 2009 with a win on Saturday.
Texas Tech trails the all-time series against West Virginia (7-6) but has dominated the Mountaineers 4-1 since Neal Brown took over in West Virginia back in 2009. West Virginia won last year's meeting in Morgantown 20-13.
