Updated UIL Texas Boys HS Basketball Rankings

 

LUBBOCK, TX — Updated rankings for the UIL Texas Boys High School Basketball were released on Monday, January 6. Several teams from around the South Plains made the list.

4A No. 7 Lubbock Estacado continues to be the biggest school representing Lubbock. Meanwhile, Shallowater came in at No. 5, and Slayton ranked No. 18 in 3A. The South Plains was heavily represented in 2A. Floydada and New Home are ranked No. 5 and No. 6, with No. 10 Olton, No. 11 Plains, No. 12 Farwell, No. 19 Abernathy, and No. 25 Ropes rounding out the list. Finally, the No. 1 Jayton Jaybirds are the top-ranked 1A team in Texas, while Whitharral came in at No. 13.
