Lubbock-Cooper Liberty Girls Claim Road District Win

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Lubbock-Cooper Liberty Lady Patriots made the road trip down to San Angelo on Tuesday, January 7, for a district matchup against the Lake View Maidens at Lake View High School. The Lady Patriots dominated from start to finish to secure a 2-0 district start with a 62-18 win.

Check out some of the highlights from the game below:

Tough defense paved the way for multiple fast-break opportunities throughout all four quarters as the Lady Patriots built a steady lead that lasted until the final buzzer. The Maidens defense played well in the 2nd half, but a lackluster offense never allowed Lake View to threaten Liberty's lead seriously.

Lubbock-Cooper Liberty's Reagen Wren was a force all night. She led all scorers in the win with 16 points, including nine points in the 1st quarter. Ava Kincaid added 12 points, followed by Abby Dallas with eight points and Bailey Fillirgram with seven points.

The Maidens' Leah Resendez and Laurie O'Donnell led Lake View in scoring six points each.

The Lady Patriots return to action on Friday, January 10, when Lubbock-Cooper Liberty returns home to face off with the Levelland Lady Loboettes for another district matchup. Tip-opp in that contest is set for 6:15 p.m.
