MIDLAND COUNTY, TX — A crash involving a semi-truck and school bus occurred in Midland County on Wednesday, January 8.
The crash occurred near the intersection of West County Road 160 and South County Road 1270 across the street from Paloma Pressure Control at around 4:25 p.m. on Wednesday. As a result of the crash, the school bus went off the road and collided with an electric utility pole.
According to Texas DPS, one student was injured and taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. All other students involved in the crash were released to their parents.
The school bus had significant front-end damage, but whether or not the damage was due to the semi or the electric pole alone could not be determined. The semi-truck did not appear to have significant damage done to the vehicle other than observable damage to the front of the truck.
This is a developing story.
