LUBBOCK, TX — Texas Tech will begin its fourth set of spring practices under head coach Joey McGuire on March 10, leading up to the annual Spring Game on April 19 at Jones AT&T Stadium, the program announced Friday.
The game time and additional fan information for the Spring Game will be announced at a later date.
The Red Raiders will follow a standard Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday practice routine for most of the spring, except for the first week. That week, practices will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday before Texas Tech’s spring break.
All practices, aside from the Spring Game, are closed to the public. However, members of the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) will be permitted to attend. High school coaches seeking access should contact Texas Tech Director of Player Development Dave Martin on a weekly basis. The program will also host its annual Coaches Clinic on April 4-5, coinciding with its ninth spring practice.
McGuire will oversee a competitive spring as the Red Raiders mix 42 returning letterwinners with a class of 27 newcomers.
