LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock Animal Services will hold a spay/neuter voucher giveaway on Tuesday, February 4, at 1 p.m.
200 vouchers will be available, 20 of which will be reserved for pets weighing less than 25 pounds.
LAS says vouchers will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of one voucher per household.
To receive a voucher, pet owners will have to:
- Have their pet with them when picking up the voucher.
- Live within Lubbock city limits and provide proof of residency (like a driver’s license or a City of Lubbock Utilities bill).
- Show proof of rabies vaccination, or allow LAS to vaccinate the pet for free on-site.
- Have the pet microchipped, or agree to have it for free during the event.
LAS encourages all pet owners to get their pets spayed or neutered to help reduce the number of stray animals in the area. Spaying and neutering is an important part of being a responsible pet owner.
The event will be at the Lubbock Animal Services building at 3323 SE Loop 289.
