Lubbock Christian Ranked No. 16 in D2 Baseball's Preseason Poll

 

LUBBOCK, TX — Lubbock Christian enters the 2025 baseball season as the No. 16 team in the nation, according to D2 Baseball's preseason top 25 poll released on Sunday night, Jan. 19.

The Chaps finished their 2024 campaign with a 45-16 overall record, Lone Star Conference champions, LSC Tournament champions, and one game short of LCU's first Division II College World Series appearance in program history.

Lubbock Christian is one of three teams in the Lone Star Conference that are represented in the preseason rankings. Angelo State came in a No. 2, and West Texas A&M was selected at No. 24.

The Chaps will open the 2024 season at home against UT Tyler beginning on Friday, Jan. 31, for a four-game series to start the year.
