The game, the 54th all-time meeting between the programs, will be televised on ESPN, with a radio broadcast available on the Texas Tech Sports Network via Double T 97.3 and the Varsity app.
Tech extended the nation’s 11th-longest active winning streak Tuesday with a 73-59 win over Baylor. Chance McMillian led the way with 19 points on five 3-pointers, while Darrion Williams added 17 points and eight rebounds. Elijah Hawkins contributed 13 points and seven assists as the Red Raiders knocked down 11 3-pointers, marking the 13th time this season they have hit at least 10 in a game.
McMillian leads the Big 12 in 3-point shooting at 45.5%, while Hawkins tops the conference with 6.1 assists per game. Williams (14.9 PPG) and JT Toppin (14.7 PPG) rank among the league’s top 15 scorers, with Toppin also sitting second in field goal percentage (55.3%) and fourth in rebounding (8.4 RPG) with seven double-doubles this season.
The Red Raiders, making their first trip to Tucson since 2013, lead the Big 12 in field goal percentage (48.3%) and rank second in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.55), effective field goal percentage (56.2%), scoring margin (15.9), 3-point percentage (38.1%), and 3-pointers per game (9.5). Tech committed just eight turnovers against Baylor and is third in the conference in fewest turnovers per game (10.7).
Defensively, Texas Tech has held seven opponents under 60 points this season, including five in Big 12 play, and ranks fourth in the conference in scoring defense (65.1 PPG allowed).
The Red Raiders’ current win streak is their longest in Big 12 play since the 2019 team won nine straight to close conference play en route to the program’s first Final Four appearance. Tech is 1-2 against AP Top 25 teams this season, including an 82-81 overtime win at No. 6 Houston last Saturday.
Texas Tech holds a 29-24 all-time record against Arizona but is 12-17 in Tucson. Before the Red Raiders' win last month, the Wildcats had won seven straight in the series. This marks the first ranked matchup between the teams.
