City of Lubbock Neighborhood Deployment in Leftwich Monterey

LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock’s Code Administration Department will conduct a Neighborhood Deployment in the Leftwich Monterey neighborhood on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The targeted area is bordered by 50th Street, University Avenue, South Loop 289, and Indiana Avenue.

Code Enforcement officials will set up a field office in the parking lot east of Burgess Rushing Tennis Center at 3020 66th St. During the deployment, inspectors will identify and address violations related to junked vehicles, nuisance weeds and rubbish, substandard housing, and zoning. Officials will also engage with residents to provide information about city ordinances, issue citations, and, in some cases, take immediate action to abate violations.

In support of the initiative, Solid Waste Services will provide a roll-off dumpster at the field office for residents in the designated area. The dumpster will be available for the disposal of bulky items such as furniture, appliances, and tree branches.

For more information, residents can contact the Code Administration Department.
