LUBBOCK, TX – The Buddy Holly Center is debuting a new exhibition for this month’s First Friday Art Trail: Shutter and Sound: The Jazz Photography of Bob Willoughby.
The exhibit will be on display Friday, March 7, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
As part of the monthly event hosted by the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts (LHUCA), the Buddy Holly Center will showcase 50 black-and-white photographs taken by Willoughby between 1950 and 1960. According to a press release, this will offer a glimpse into the California jazz scene of that era.
The exhibition, which captures the energy and spirit of live jazz performances, will be displayed in the Fine Arts Gallery through March 16.
Admission is free, and refreshments will be available.
