Texas Tech Golf Finishes Seventh at Pauma Valley Invitational

Texas Tech had to finish the round two on Tuesday morning due to darkness on Monday night before beginning the final round at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.  Texas Tech completed its second round with a 6-over-par 290, slipping to sixth place after an opening-round 5-under-par 279.

Calum Scott posted an impressive 7-under-par 64 in the first round, propelling him to a T-17th finish at 2-under 211 (64-76-71)—his best finish of the season. Tim Wiedemeyer rebounded from a slow start, improving 12 positions in the final round after carding a 1-under-par 70 to finish T-33rd at 3-over 216 (75-71-70).

Texas Tech now shifts focus to the Valspar Intercollegiate Invitational in Palm City, Florida, at Floridan Golf Club. The tournament will feature 36 holes on March 24, followed by the final round on March 25.
