FBI: 22 Arrested in Lubbock Drug Bust Linked to Mexican Cartels

LUBBOCK, TX — 22 people were arrested in Lubbock as part of a major drug trafficking bust believed to be linked to Mexican cartels, according to FBI Director Kash Patel.

On March 26, Patel announced the operation on social media, praising the collaboration between the FBI’s Dallas office, Texas law enforcement, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Patel mentioned that the suspects arrested were part of a narcotics trafficking ring with ties to Mexican cartels. This operation is just one part of many ongoing efforts to break down drug trafficking networks in the U.S.

Patel also mentioned the importance of these operations in making streets safer for American families.

The investigation is still ongoing.
