LUBBOCK, TX — Texas Tech will stage its annual spring football game Saturday at Jones AT&T Stadium, giving fans their first look at the 2025 Red Raiders under third‑year coach Joey McGuire.
Kickoff is set for 2 p.m., with free admission through Gate 1 on the stadium’s southwest corner beginning at 1 p.m. No television or streaming coverage is planned.
The 90‑minute workout will feature situational periods, including two‑minute drills, third‑and‑long snaps and red‑zone work. One‑on‑one pass‑rush battles will pit offensive and defensive linemen on one half of the field, while receivers and defensive backs square off on the other. The practice also will include 7‑on‑7 and 9‑on‑7 segments. No score will be kept.
Premium tickets to the Gary Petersen Field Club in the new south end‑zone facility are sold out, the school said. Club patrons should enter through Gate 9 and will receive digital tickets along with limited field access.
McGuire and his staff will present last season’s team honors during a halftime break, reviving a tradition that began in 1961. Awards include the Pete Cawthon Memorial MVP and the E.J. Holub “Double Tough” award.
Free parking will be available in the Commuter North C‑1 lot west of the stadium. Fans are asked to sit on the west side of the venue.
Fewer than 500 season tickets remain for the 2025 season, athletics officials said. Sales representatives will be on the west concourse Saturday to assist prospective buyers.
Concessions, including Whataburger and Two Docs Brewery stands, will operate on the west concourse. All sales are cashless. The university’s clear‑bag policy will be enforced.
