TxDOT: 19th Street Construction Closures Begin This Week

LUBBOCK, TX — Road closures along the 19th Street (US 62/SH 114) project corridor begin April 21.

According to TxDOT, construction crews will continue work on waterline installations, drainage systems, and paving preparations.

Avenue L is closed for storm drain installation and is expected to reopen by Wednesday, April 23. Avenue N is also closed and will remain closed through Tuesday to allow for waterline tie-in work.

Avenue M is scheduled to close on Wednesday, April 23, for additional storm drain installation. It is expected to reopen by Saturday, April 26. Avenue S remains closed as part of ongoing paving preparation and will reopen once that work is completed, says TxDOT.

Traffic will be detoured around each work zone, and all construction activity is weather permitting.
