AUSTIN, TX — Two individuals on Texas’ 10 Most Wanted lists were taken into custody earlier this week in a coordinated operation in Converse and Lubbock, the Texas Department of Public Safety announced.
David Earl Rogers, 56, a fugitive with an extensive criminal history in Bexar County, was arrested Monday at a residence in Converse. Authorities say the operation was the result of a multi-agency investigation involving the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, DPS Special Agents, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Attorney General’s Office, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Office of the Inspector General, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Rogers had been wanted since December 2024 for multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault of a family/household member by impeding breath or circulation, and interference with emergency assistance. His prior arrests include assault, firearm possession by a felon, terroristic threats, vehicle theft, and drug offenses.
Just one day later, on Tuesday, April 29, Rodolfo Martinez Jr., 42, was captured at an apartment complex in Lubbock. DPS Special Agents, in cooperation with the Lorenzo Police Department and the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, made the arrest based on investigative leads.
Martinez Jr. was convicted in 2008 of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit sexual abuse involving a 15-year-old girl. He served a 15-year prison sentence and was wanted out of Harris County since November 2024 for indecency with a child by sexual contact. Additionally, in March 2025, he was charged in Crosby County for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
Both Rogers and Martinez Jr. were apprehended within a month of being placed on the Texas 10 Most Wanted lists.
No Crime Stoppers rewards will be issued in either case, officials said.
DPS emphasized that Texas Crime Stoppers continues to offer cash rewards for information leading to the arrest of fugitives, sex offenders, and criminal illegal immigrants featured on the state’s Most Wanted lists.
So far in 2025, 27 individuals from the lists have been arrested, including seven sex offenders and nine criminal illegal immigrants, with over $25,000 in rewards paid.
