GREENSBORO, N.C. — Lubbock Christian University senior Brevin McCool has been named the 2025 ABCA/Rawlings National Position Player of the Year for NCAA Division II, the American Baseball Coaches Association announced Monday.
The honor cements McCool as the consensus Division II Player of the Year, adding to previous accolades from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). McCool also earned First Team All-America honors from all three organizations.
McCool, an infielder from Hobbs, New Mexico, had a record-breaking senior season at the plate, helping lead the Chaps to a 34-23 overall record and a third straight NCAA Tournament appearance.

McCool’s standout season helped Lubbock Christian finish 30-18 in Lone Star Conference play, good for fourth in the league, and solidify its status as a perennial postseason contender.
