LUBBOCK, TX — No. 14 Texas Tech (6-1, 3-1 Big 12) will look to bounce back from its first loss of the season when it hosts Oklahoma State (1-6, 0-4) on Saturday night at Jones AT&T Stadium. The matchup also marks a special occasion for Graham Harrell, who will be inducted into the Texas Tech Ring of Honor during the game.
The Red Raiders aim to improve to 7-1 — their best start since 2013 — while remaining unbeaten at home, where they hold a 19-5 record under head coach Joey McGuire since 2022. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT, with ESPNU carrying national coverage. Justin Kutcher will handle play-by-play duties alongside Dustin Fox, providing analysis. Fans can stream the broadcast via the ESPN app on mobile devices or connected TVs.
On the radio, Brian Jensen, John Harris, and Chris Level will lead coverage across 46 Texas Tech Sports Network affiliates throughout Texas and New Mexico. The broadcast will also be available on SiriusXM channels 119 and 198, the SiriusXM app (channel 952), and through the Varsity app.
Texas Tech Athletics announced changes to its fan conduct policy earlier this week, prohibiting the throwing of any objects — including tortillas — inside Jones AT&T Stadium. Any violations will result in immediate ejection and potential revocation of ticket privileges for the rest of the season.
"We have the best fans in the country who impact the game each and every Saturday through the atmosphere inside Jones AT&T Stadium," Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt said. "We have three important home games remaining this season. Coach McGuire has said multiple times this team's ultimate goal is to play in AT&T Stadium in Arlington for a Big 12 title. I am confident our fans will continue to support our team and coaches with their passionate support and energy to accomplish this goal. We cannot risk penalizing our team by throwing tortillas."
Despite last week’s loss at Arizona State, the Red Raiders remain in the Big 12 title conversation. Texas Tech is one of five programs sitting at 3-1 or better in conference play, joining BYU (4-0), Cincinnati (4-0), Arizona State (3-1), and Houston (3-1).
Tech began the season 3-0 in conference play for the second consecutive year — the sixth time since joining the Big 12 in 1996. The Red Raiders have started league play 3-0 eight times overall, dating back to their days in the Southwest Conference.
The Red Raiders have been nearly unbeatable at home under McGuire, going 19-5 since his arrival and 11-4 against Big 12 opponents. Texas Tech’s 4-0 home record this season ties them with Kansas State for the best home winning percentage in the conference over the past three seasons.
This year marks the 14th time in program history that Tech has hosted seven home games and the third time in four years under McGuire. That trend will continue, as the Red Raiders are scheduled to host seven home games in two of the next three seasons.
Saturday’s game marks the 52nd all-time meeting between Texas Tech and Oklahoma State, a series currently tied 24-24-3. Tech claimed a 56-48 victory in Stillwater last year, snapping a recent series skid.
