Texas Tech Baseball Season Tickets Sell Out for 12th Consecutive Season

LUBBOCK, TX — Texas Tech baseball season tickets have sold out for a 12th consecutive season, the athletic department announced Friday, continuing a streak that underscores sustained fan support for the program.

Single-game tickets for the 2026 season will go on sale at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26.

The Red Raiders are scheduled to play 32 home games at Rip Griffin Park during the 2026 campaign, including a nonconference weekend series against Big Ten opponent Penn State from March 6–8. The home slate also features midweek matchups against UTSA on March 10–11 and Dallas Baptist on May 5, along with Big 12 series against Kansas (March 13–15), West Virginia (April 10–12) and Oklahoma State (April 24–26).

Texas Tech returns a strong offensive core from last season under coach Tim Tadlock, highlighted by First Team All-Big 12 selection Logan Hughes and Second Team All-Big 12 honoree Robin Villeneuve.

Hughes, the Big 12’s 2025 home run leader with 19, was named a preseason All-Big 12 selection by Perfect Game and is ranked as the No. 5 overall prospect in the conference for the 2026 MLB draft. He batted .327 last season with 58 RBIs, including 11 home runs and 30 RBIs in conference play while hitting .376 against Big 12 opponents.

Villeneuve, entering his second season with the Red Raiders, led the team with a .365 batting average in 2025. He added 18 doubles, 12 home runs and 49 RBIs, while posting a team-best .447 on-base percentage and sharing the team lead in OPS (1.108) with Hughes.

Texas Tech has also added a highly touted group of transfers and freshmen. Among them is JUCO All-American catcher Matt Quintanar from Blinn College, who hit .411 with 23 doubles, 15 home runs and 60 RBIs in 2025. He posted a .511 on-base percentage and struck out just 23 times in 226 at-bats.

Former NJCAA First Team All-American Hollis Porter transferred from Maryland after hitting .303 with 21 home runs and 64 RBIs in 2025. His home run total ranked third in the Big Ten. Porter previously starred at Pearl River Community College, where he hit .399 with 20 home runs and was named MACCC Player of the Year.

Blinn College standout Caden Ferraro also joins the roster after a two-year JUCO career in which he hit .376 with 36 home runs and 156 RBIs, helping lead Blinn to the 2024 JUCO World Series title.

Freshman infielder Linkin Garcia, a top-100 national prospect in the Class of 2025, rounds out the incoming group. Garcia hit .513 with six home runs and 48 RBIs during his final prep season and was recently named one of Baseball America’s top 25 freshmen nationally.

Texas Tech opens the 2026 season Friday, Feb. 13, at the Shriners College Baseball Showdown before returning home for its season opener against Albany on Friday, Feb. 20. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Rip Griffin Park.
