LUBBOCK, TX — Texas Tech announced additional fan information Friday ahead of ESPN’s College GameDay broadcast and Saturday’s top-15 men’s basketball matchup between the Red Raiders and the Houston Cougars.
ESPN will broadcast College GameDay live from center court inside United Supermarkets Arena from 9–10 a.m. Saturday, prior to the 1 p.m. tipoff between Texas Tech Red Raiders and Houston Cougars.
Arena doors will open at 8 a.m., and admission will be free for fans attending the GameDay broadcast. Following the conclusion of the show, the lower bowl will be cleared. Fans wishing to remain inside the arena must scan a valid game ticket on the concourse. Those without tickets to the Houston game will be required to exit.
Students will be allowed to stay inside United Supermarkets Arena after College GameDay concludes. Seating during the broadcast will be open and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Students will be asked to move into designated student sections immediately following the show.
With potential icy conditions expected overnight, fans are encouraged to arrive early Saturday. Free parking will be available for College GameDay in the west commuter lot. Access to the north and south lots adjacent to United Supermarkets Arena will be restricted to season ticket holders with paid parking permits.
Normal parking procedures will resume once College GameDay goes off the air. Fans are also reminded that parking is available in the S-1 lot at the John Walker Soccer Complex, with roundtrip transportation provided by Citibus before all home men’s basketball games, including Saturday’s matchup.
College GameDay is hosted by Rece Davis alongside analysts Jay Bilas, Andraya Carter, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams. The basketball edition of the show returns to Lubbock for the second time and for the first time since 2018. Texas Tech also hosted College GameDay earlier this season ahead of its football win over BYU in November.
