Codes Enforcement Neighborhood Deployment in Lyndale Acres Neighborhood

LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock Code Enforcement Department will conduct a neighborhood deployment in the Lyndale Acres neighborhood on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The targeted area will be bordered by Avenue Q, 50th Street and Avenue A.

Code Enforcement will operate a temporary field office at 5401 Avenue J in the Dixie Little League parking lot, where residents can ask questions or report potential violations. The City of Lubbock Solid Waste Department will also provide a roll-off dumpster at the site for residents within the defined area to dispose of bulky items such as furniture, appliances and tree branches.

The deployment is intended to identify and address violations related to:

  • Junked vehicles

  • Nuisance weeds and rubbish

  • Substandard housing

  • Zoning violations

During the operation, Code Enforcement inspectors will engage with residents to provide education regarding city codes, issue citations when necessary and potentially abate violations on site.

City officials encourage residents in the affected area to take advantage of the available resources and speak with inspectors during the deployment.
