City of Lubbock Offices Closed for Independence Day

 

LUBBOCK, TX – City of Lubbock offices will be closed Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day. Normal operations will resume Monday, July 6.

Several city facilities and services will operate on modified holiday schedules.

The West Texas Region Disposal Facility and Caliche Canyon Landfill will be closed Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.

Residential trash collection will not be conducted on Friday. Service will instead follow Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday collection schedules.

Drop-off recycling centers will be open Friday, July 3, but closed Saturday, July 4.

All Lubbock Public Library locations will be closed Friday and Saturday.

Community and senior centers, along with Safety City, will be closed Friday. The Burgess Rushing Tennis Center will remain open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 3.

The Buddy Holly Center, Silent Wings Museum and Garden & Arts Center will also be closed Friday and Saturday.
