LUBBOCK, TX — Texas Tech University Athletics will introduce a new student ticket loyalty program for the 2026-27 academic year, replacing its first-come, first-served policy with a reservation system for home football and men's basketball games.
The new Red Raider Loyalty program was developed after a summer survey of more than 800 students found most preferred knowing whether they had a ticket before game day, particularly for high-demand matchups.
The program was created by Texas Tech's promotions and fan engagement department in partnership with the Student Government Association and other campus leadership organizations. Athletics officials said the new system will not reduce student seating capacity but will provide students with advance notice of their ticket status.
“We’re excited to debut the Red Raider Loyalty program with our student body this fall,” Student Body President Grayson King said. “Through this program, gamedays at Galaxy Stadium and United Supermarkets Arena will be even better, allowing students the ease in knowing they have a guaranteed spot to support our Red Raiders.”
Students will access the reservation system through the Red Raiders Mobile App using their eRaider login credentials.
For football games, the reservation window will open each Sunday from 7 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. Students selected for tickets will be notified through the app and must claim their reservation by 5 p.m. Monday. Unclaimed tickets will then be offered to students on a waitlist.
Texas Tech will continue to offer a standby line outside the student entrances at Galaxy Stadium and United Supermarkets Arena. Students who reserve tickets must arrive at least 15 minutes before kickoff or tipoff to guarantee their seats. After that deadline, any remaining seats will be distributed to students in the standby line.
Under the loyalty program, students will receive an initial point total based on their academic classification and can earn additional points by attending ticketed Texas Tech athletic events. Those points will improve their chances of receiving reservations when demand exceeds student seating capacity for football and men's basketball games.
Students who reserve tickets but fail to attend will lose points in the system. Texas Tech will also carry over 50% of a student's accumulated points from one academic year to the next to encourage attendance at spring sporting events.
The loyalty program will also be used for all home men's basketball games, with reservation details to be announced later.
Students can find additional information and download the Red Raiders Mobile App through RedRaiderLoyalty.com.
