Lubbock Police Identify Cyclist Injured in Crash on 34th Street

 

LUBBOCK, TX – Lubbock Police are investigating a crash that left a man seriously injured Wednesday morning in Central Lubbock.

Officers were called to the 700 block of 34th Street at 8:02 a.m. on March 26 after receiving reports of a crash with injuries.

According to the initial investigation, a box truck driven by Gilbert Harper, 70, was traveling west on 34th Street when he changed lanes and hit Joshua Freed, 37, who was riding a bicycle. 

Freed was taken to University Medical Center by EMS with serious injuries.

No other information has been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
