Lubbock Police Identify Body Found in Central Lubbock

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The Lubbock Police Department is investigating after a man was found dead in a central Lubbock home Thursday night.

Previously reported, LPD said in a press release that officers were called to the 3400 block of 23rd Street just before 6 p.m. on May 29. When they arrived, they found Roshaud Ward, 33, dead from a gunshot wound.

According to investigators, two people initially went to a residence in the 3500 block of 27th Street in search of Ward after not hearing from him for several days. 

When they could not locate him there, they went to a home on 23rd Street. Upon entering the house, they discovered Ward’s body and called 9-1-1.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. 

Authorities have not released additional details at this time.
