Cross Canadian Ragweed Reunion, 4 Night Stillwater Show Sold Out

STILLWATER, OK — What began as a one-night-only show has quickly transformed into a colossal event. On September 15, Cross Canadian Ragweed reactivated their social media for the first time since 2011, teasing fans with a cryptic image that sparked hopes for a reunion show.

By October 1st, the band confirmed they would be getting back together to co-headline one show with Turnpike Troubadours on April 12, 2025, at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, OK, the heart of the Red Dirt music scene.

The lineup includes The Great Divide, Jason Boland and The Stragglers, and Stoney LaRue. Pre-sale ticket registration opened on October 7, attracting over 120,000 fans within hours.

By October 3, the demand was so overwhelming that an additional show was added for April 11, pushing pre-registrations to over 150,000. When tickets went live, more than 180,000 fans waited online, encouraging the artists to extend the event to a four-night performance from April 10 to 13.

The band members expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support. Cody Canada, lead vocalist, said, “I am amazed and blown away at the love we are receiving. It is the biggest thing to ever happen to us. Thank you.”

Randy Ragsdale, the drummer, added, “Wow! What an honor. Completely grateful and stunned by the response.”

The lineup for all four shows will stay the same, with the Mike McClure Band stepping in for The Great Divide on the Friday night. The demand for tickets is only seen with major artists in the Red Dirt music genre. The Cross Canadian Ragweed is gaining global attention, especially with the rise of standout bands like the Turnpike Troubadours and Wyatt Flores.

Oklahoma native and Rolling Stone contributor Josh Crutchmer documents the resurgence in his upcoming books, including Red Dirt Unplugged, which will be released on December 13, 2024. For more info, check out www.reddirt-unplugged.com.

Stillwater’s population is just 50,000, but the city is preparing for the influx of fans, as all hotels and rental properties within a 50-mile radius are already booked.

Mayor Will Joyce emphasized the importance of planning, stating, “This will definitely be the biggest party we have thrown in a while. There will be a lot of meetings over the next few months to ensure this event is a great experience and a wonderful memory."
