MORRISON, CO — Texas country music lovers gathered at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater on October 7 for an unforgettable night as Flatland Cavalry kicked off their "Wandering Star" Tour. The night also included two talented opening acts: the Randy Rogers Band and The Wilder Blue.
Released on October 27, 2023, the Wandering Star album features country instrumentation and catchy choruses. Tracks include “The Provider,” “The Best Days,” “Spinnin’,” and “Burned Out Flame.”
Known for their distinctive sound, Flatland Cavalry started humble beginnings in Lubbock, Texas, where they have embraced their rural West Texas roots. Formed in 2014 while attending Texas Tech University, Cleto Cordero and the band made a significant impact in the Hub City’s songwriting circles and dancehall scene. With Cordero’s songwriting and the band’s blend of country instrumentation, toe-tapping grooves, and catchy choruses, Flatland quickly became a regional sensation.
Flatland Cavalry shared their excitement with fans after the show, posting on X, “From a Three Car Garage in Lubbock, Texas to 10 years later Headlining RED ROCKS in Colorado. What an honor to have had Randy Rogers Band & The Wilder Blue join us on this special night.”
