Diddy Arrested in Manhattan Amid Sexual Misconduct Allegations

NEW YORK CITY, NY – Sean “Diddy” Combs, the renowned rapper and music executive, was arrested in Manhattan on Monday after a grand jury issued an indictment, according to reports from his lawyer and federal prosecutors.

Damian Williams, the U.S. Attorney for Manhattan, confirmed that federal agents took Combs into custody.

“We expect to unseal the indictment in the morning and will provide more details then,” Williams stated.

This arrest adds to Combs’ recent legal troubles. One of the most high-profile cases involves his former girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, better known as Cassie. Ventura has claimed that Combs introduced her to a “fast-paced, drug-fueled lifestyle” shortly after she joined his label at 19 in 2005.

Combs has denied these allegations, and Ventura and Combs settled just one day after the lawsuit was filed.

Additionally, surveillance footage released in May 2024 showed Combs assaulting Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel hallway in March 2016.

Combs' legal issues expanded further in March when federal authorities raided two properties linked to him.

According to the Associated Press, agents from the Department of Homeland Security executed search warrants in Miami and Los Angeles, issued by a New York federal court.

These raids were part of an ongoing investigation into possible sexual trafficking, illegal narcotics, and firearms.

In response to the growing allegations, Combs also resigned as chairman of Revolt, his media company.

The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be revealed as the indictment is unsealed.
