LEVELLAND, TX — Lobo Lake Park will host the last sled hill weekend of the season from Friday, February 21, through Sunday, February 23.
According to a social media post, the sled hill will be open at different times throughout the weekend: Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
If the snow conditions hold up, additional sledding dates might be added. This year, the event has a new setup: sledding will be more self-supervised. The post stated that a park staff member would still be on-site to monitor the snow conditions.
The sled hill is free to the public and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. It is open to people of all ages, but outside sleds will not be allowed.
For safety reasons, parents should make sure children are able to control their sleds before letting them ride alone.
This weekend might be the last opportunity to enjoy Lobo Lake Park's sled hill, and hours may change depending on the weather.
