Coach Moffitt brings several accomplishments and accolades along with his experience to Lubbock-Cooper. Named District Coach of the Year 4-times in the past, Moffitt most recently led the Amarillo High School Volleyball team to an undefeated 2023 home season and a 48-2 district record. In district last season, Coach Moffitt led Amarillo High on a 38-game winning streak that currently still stands.

Lubbock-Cooper began the coaching search after previous head coach Dana Hill stepped down from the team at the end of last season. Hill led the Lady Pirates to a 32-13 overall record and a perfect, 11-0 mark in district. Lubbock-Cooper advanced to its second Regional Tournament in as many years before the Lady Pirates fell to Argyle.
