Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson: Everything You Need to Know

ARLINGTON, TX — Youtuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul will face former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in a highly anticipated matchup on Friday, Nov. 15, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Originally scheduled for July, the fight was delayed after Tyson experienced a medical episode on a plane and needed time to recover from a stomach ulcer.

The event will be streamed live on Netflix, making it the first-ever boxing match on the platform. The fight will begin at 8 p.m. ET, though depending on the undercard fights, the main event could start closer to midnight.

Fight Details and Modifications

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has sanctioned the fight with a few key modifications. The match will consist of eight rounds, each lasting two minutes, instead of the usual three-minute rounds for professional fights.

Both fighters will also wear 14-ounce gloves, heavier than the standard 10-ounce gloves in heavyweight bouts. These changes are reportedly designed to slow the fight's pace and reduce the power of punches.

Mike Tyson, 58, retired from professional boxing in 2005 with a record of 50-6, including 44 knockouts. His last official fight was a loss to Kevin McBride, though he returned for an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020.

Jake Paul, 27, has a record of 10-1 with seven knockouts, his only loss coming against Tommy Fury earlier this year.

Betting Odds

Jake Paul enters the fight as the favorite with odds of -210, meaning a bet of $210 on Paul would yield a $100 profit. Tyson, a +275 underdog, is favored to win by knockout or technical knockout (KO/TKO), with odds of +275. The odds for Tyson to win by points are +1000 and +1400 for a first-round victory.

Undercard

A few fights under the main event include several other notable bouts:

  • Super Lightweight: Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano (for Taylor's IBF, WBA, WBC, and WBO women’s super-lightweight titles)
  • Welterweight: Mario Barrios vs. Abel Ramos (for Barrios' WBC welterweight title)

  • Super Middleweight: Shadasia Green vs. Melinda Watpool (for vacant WBO women’s super-middleweight title)
