LUBBOCK, TX — The Lubbock Matadors have announced a partnership with the Lubbock Soccer Association (LSA) to enhance youth soccer development and expand the sport’s reach across West Texas. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to fostering grassroots talent and building a stronger soccer community in the region.
Under the partnership, all children registering with LSA for the upcoming season will receive complimentary tickets to every Lubbock Matadors home game. The initiative is designed to connect young players with professional soccer, offering opportunities for inspiration and engagement.
“We are so excited to invest further in the growth of soccer through this partnership with LSA,” said Dustin McCorkle, general manager of the Matadors. “The kids in this community have been our priority since we started the Matadors. This relationship will highlight our young players at games, provide meaningful opportunities for players to connect with LSA kids, and establish the Matadors brand alongside Lubbock locals. We’re committed to reinvesting in their dreams of playing soccer at the highest level. We’re grateful to LSA for helping make this connection possible.”
Brent Walser, president of LSA, echoed the enthusiasm, emphasizing the importance of growing soccer’s popularity among West Texas youth. “The Lubbock Soccer Association could not be more excited about this partnership with the Matadors,” Walser said. “Growing the popularity of soccer with the youth of West Texas is our top priority, and we look forward to a bright future with the opportunities this partnership creates between two great organizations.”
The partnership aligns the Matadors and LSA in their mission to cultivate a vibrant soccer culture in West Texas. By bridging professional and youth soccer, the collaboration aims to inspire the next generation of players and fans, setting the stage for the sport’s long-term growth in the region.
