Foggy Start With Clearing Clouds by Afternoon on Wednesday

The National Weather Service forecasts partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies to start the day, but clouds will diminish as the afternoon progresses with the highs reaching the upper 70s. 

There's a slight chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly in the southern areas with east-northeast winds around 5 mph becoming south-southeast in the afternoon.

This evening is expected to be partly cloudy and some areas of Lubbock may experience fog overnight. By daybreak, mostly cloudy conditions will return and lows will be in the lower 60s, with a south-southeast wind blowing at 5 to 10 mph.

A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is forecasted for Thursday with patchy fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny with a high in the mid-80s. Calm wind becoming north-northeast around 5 mph Thursday afternoon.

On Thursday, high temperatures will reach the mid to upper 80s. Friday and Saturday will see highs in the lower to mid-80s, while Sunday through Tuesday will again see temperatures in the mid to upper 80s.

Lows on Thursday and Friday mornings will range from the mid-50s to mid-60s. For Saturday through Tuesday mornings, expect lows to be in the mid-50s to the low 60s.
