Sunny Days Ahead With a Chance of Thunderstorms

 

LUBBOCK, TX – According to the National Weather Service, Lubbock and the surrounding area are expected to experience hot and sunny conditions with a slight chance of thunderstorms this week.

Monday, September 16, forecast shows a high of 91°F, with south-southeast winds between 5 to 15 mph. Monday Night will be mostly clear with lows around 65°F, accompanied by south winds of 10 to 15 mph.

Tuesday will bring sunny skies with a high near 90°F. Winds will shift slightly to the southwest, reaching 15 mph, and gusts up to 25 mph are possible. Tuesday night will have a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m., with lows around 67°F and south winds at 10 to 15 mph.

The hot weather trend will continue through Wednesday, with the forecast predicting sunny skies and a high of 92°F. Winds will remain steady at 10 to 15 mph from the south. Wednesday night is expected to be mostly clear, with a low of around 68°F.

30 to 40 percent chance of thunderstorms is expected into the weekend, with highs in the 80s.
