LUBBOCK, TX — A clear and sunny week ahead as the National Weather Service forecasts a sunny and cooler day as a cold front moved through early this morning, bringing temperatures back down in the 80s for this afternoon with light northeasterly winds.

Today, Wednesday, September 25, the forecast shows a high near 84°F, with north winds of 10 to 15 mph. Tonight will have clear skies and sit in the lows near 55° F, with winds shifting to the east at 5 mph.

Thursday will bring sunny skies with a high near 86°F. Winds will hand to the northwest, but down to 5 mph. Thursday night will mostly clear, with lows around 56°F and southeast winds at 5 mph.

The cooler sunny weather will continue through the weekend, with the forecast predicting highs in the lower 80’s. Winds will remain calm at 5 to 10 mph as the week continues.
