Woman Seriously Injured After Being Hit by Citibus

 

LUBBOCK, TX – The Lubbock Police Department's Major Crash Unit is investigating a pedestrian collision that left a woman seriously injured on December 10.

At approximately 7:09 a.m., officers responded to the scene in the 100 block of North Avenue U. According to police, a Citibus, driven by 69-year-old Vernon Heil, was traveling south in the 200 block of North Avenue U when it struck 75-year-old Beatriz De Los Santos as the bus crossed the railroad tracks.

De Los Santos was seriously injured in the incident and was transported to University Medical Center by EMS.

The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be released as more information is provided.
