South Lubbock Shooting Incident Results in One Fatality

LUBBOCK, TX — The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit, is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on the 9200 block of Highway 87 Frontage Road early Sunday morning, resulting in one fatality and five injuries, according to reports.

Another incident was reported just after 3:00 a.m. on the 3600 block of 42nd Street.

Reports say authorities from the LCSO have indicated that this appears to be isolated events and that there is no continuing threat to public safety.

The investigations remain active, and additional information will be disclosed as it becomes available.
