Sonic Drive-In Murder Suspect Elevated to "Texas Top 10 Most Wanted"

SAN ANTONIO, TX — The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added 17-year-old Adiah Namir Roberson to its Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives List, seeking the public’s assistance in her capture. Roberson, from San Antonio, is wanted for murder after allegedly shooting and killing a manager at a Sonic Drive-In restaurant in July 2024. In addition to the murder charge, she is wanted in Bexar County for forgery of a government document and faces other charges, including evading arrest, criminal trespass, and possession of marijuana.

Texas Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to Roberson's arrest, with Crime Stoppers of San Antonio matching this with an additional $5,000 reward. All tips submitted through Crime Stoppers are guaranteed to remain anonymous, ensuring the safety and privacy of those who provide information.

Roberson became a wanted fugitive after a warrant for her arrest was issued on July 16, 2024. She is believed to have shot the manager during an altercation at the Sonic Drive-In in San Antonio. The details of the incident are still under investigation, but her alleged involvement has made her a high-priority fugitive. Law enforcement is concerned for public safety, and Roberson is considered armed and dangerous.

Roberson is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 110 pounds, and has multiple piercings, including on her nose, lips, eyebrow, and face. These distinctive features may help the public identify her.

Authorities strongly advise against attempting to apprehend Roberson. Instead, they encourage anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers. Tipsters can report information by calling the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477), submitting a web tip through the DPS website, or using the “SUBMIT A TIP” link on the Texas Crime Stoppers Facebook page. Those who provide information that leads to her arrest are eligible for a combined reward of up to $10,000. Tips are submitted anonymously, and individuals are given a unique tip number to ensure confidentiality.

Funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office, Texas Crime Stoppers has been instrumental in assisting law enforcement with the apprehension of dangerous criminals. Since the beginning of 2024, DPS and other agencies have arrested 32 fugitives from the Texas 10 Most Wanted Lists, including sex offenders, gang members, and criminal illegal immigrants. The continued partnership between law enforcement and the public has proven vital in bringing fugitives like Roberson to justice.
