MIDLAND, TX — The Texas Department of Public Safety is asking for the public's help in solving the disappearance of Caitlin Denison from Reno, NV, who vanished in January 2018.
Investigators have reported a "renewed interest" in the case following new information uncovered by the Texas Rangers, suggesting that details may be in the public's hands.
On January 9, 2018, Caitlin met an unidentified man in Reno, and together, they flew to Midland, TX. This man, known to have worked as a truck driver in the Permian Basin oil industry, remains unnamed as Denison never disclosed his identity to her family.
After arriving in Midland, investigators believe Caitlin stayed with the man in his RV, which was reportedly parked in West Odessa. The man and Denison reportedly visited Domino’s Pizza on Linda Avenue in Odessa before heading to Rick’s Cabaret in search of employment. That night was the last time Caitlin communicated with her family and friends.
The following day, on January 10, Caitlin informed her family and friends that she was at Walmart on North Midland Drive with the man and told them that she was “afraid for her life.”
The RV, which had been moved from West Odessa, was later located south of IH-20/Loop 250 in Midland.
Authorities have released a photo of the Ford F-250 pickup truck that Caitlin was last seen in, hoping that someone may recognize it or provide additional leads.
Caitlin Denison is described as a 19-year-old white female with blue eyes and blonde hair. She is 5'5" and of petite build. She wore a dark shirt, black leggings, and black boots when she went missing. She has a mole on her left cheek, an Eye of Horus tattoo on her wrist, and piercings in her nose, lip, tongue, and ears.
The Texas Rangers, Midland Police Department, and Crime Stoppers urge anyone with information related to Caitlin Denison’s disappearance to come forward.
