DPS: $3k Reward Offered for Tips on Texas’ Most Wanted Fugitive

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Public Safety is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Raymond Lee Trejo, one of Texas' 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders. The reward is increased for tips received during December.

According to a press release, Trejo, 35, of Abilene, has been wanted since May 2024 for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements. In 2009, he was convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

He is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has tattoos on his face, neck, chest, and arms, as well as scars on his head and right knee.

DPS and other law enforcement agencies work together to identify fugitives for the Texas 10 Most Wanted lists. So far in 2024, 44 fugitives, including 16 sex offenders, have been arrested.

Anyone with information about Trejo’s whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers. Tips can be submitted by:

  • Calling the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477)
  • Submitting a tip through the DPS website
  • Submitting a tip via Facebook by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link

All tips are anonymous, and tipsters will receive a tip number instead of their name. For more information or updates on Trejo’s arrest, visit the DPS website.
