Lubbock Police Seek Help in Attempted Kidnapping Case

LUBBOCK, TX – The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is asking for the community’s help after an attempted kidnapping in central Lubbock on November 19.

Around 7:00 PM, officers responded to a report of an attempted abduction in a parking lot located in the 3000 block of Slide Road. Investigators say a woman had parked her car and entered a nearby business. After returning to her vehicle, she was suddenly pulled from the driver’s seat by an unknown man wearing a black hoodie and face mask. The two struggled briefly before the suspect, along with a second male, fled the scene in a white Nissan Altima with no license plate.

The first suspect is described as a Black male in his 20s, about 5'8" to 5'10" tall, with a medium build, wearing a black zip-up hoodie and face mask. The second suspect is also described as a Black male.

While the investigation is ongoing, police have said there’s no indication that this is part of a larger pattern of similar incidents in the area, suggesting it may be an isolated event.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact Crime Line at 806-741-1000. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
