25 Year Old Identified in Fatal Shooting

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit is investigating a fatal shooting late Thursday night in the 6100 block of 26th Street.

According to a press release from the Lubbock Police Department, at approximately 11:04 p.m. on December 12th, officers responded to a report of shots fired at a residence in the area. When authorities arrived, they found Devante Edwards, 25, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

The Lubbock County Texas Anti-Gang Unit has been called in to assist with the investigation. No arrests have been made, and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
